 NEW! Florida Certified Teachers on Staff
As we move into 2012, Girls Incorporated is taking a new approach to serving our girls and working with our twelve elementary and three middle school partner schools.
Beginning this February, in addition to our core program instructors, Girls Inc. will have four Florida Certified Teachers on staff to provide the educational enrichment that will help our girls become the academic achievers they can be. We want to thank TD Bank, Wells Fargo, and other generous sponsors for their generous support in underwriting these teachers. They each get a big A+!!!
Girls Inc works closely with our partner schools and at a recent meeting with elementary principals, the need became very clear that we are in a unique position to work collaboratively with them by providing much needed tutoring, mentoring and homework help.
In addition to offering Operation SMART - our signature science program - and GIRLStart Reading Program, our new certified teaching staff will help us achieve our ambitious goals. Every afternoon from 3:30-6 pm, girls will have the opportunity for individual and small group help. What a great foundation to begin to experience wonder, awe, and to dream about infinite possibilities!
