Since 1961, Girls Inc. has been providing girls in our community with a safe, healthy, and fun environment where they can come together in the critical out-of-school hours to learn, share and grow.  

The purpose of Girls Inc. is to provide safe, accessible and affordable childcare and youth development for girls 5-17 while building the girls’ capacity for responsible and confident adulthood, economic independence and personal fulfillment, especially those from low and moderate income families. This is accomplished by providing intensive educational and recreational programming in a girls-only setting, both before school/after school and full-time over holidays and summer at our fully licensed Pinellas Park campus.  

The campus includes a 9,000 sq foot Activities Center, 16,000 sq. foot playground, administrative offices and a fleet of 2 buses and 3 vans. Girls Inc. collaborates with Pinellas County Schools and provides transportation to and from 17 schools and the Girls Inc. campus. 

Girls Inc. of Pinellas is an affiliate member of the national Girls Incorporated, recognized for its stellar gender-specific programs developed for the specific ways girls learn and grow and delivered in girls-only settings. Girls Inc. of Pinellas provides a holistic array of interactive programs which address contemporary topics relevant to girls such as literacy, personal safety, substance abuse, career exploration, values clarification, environmental consciousness, self-awareness, health and nutrition, preventing adolescent pregnancy, personal homework assistance, tutoring, and truancy prevention.
